17-year-old fatally struck by driver in Forest Lake was high school student who dreamed of becoming a veterinarian The teenage girl who died after prosecutors say she was intentionally run over during a fight between two groups of people in downtown Forest Lake early Sunday loved animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.Darisha Tela Bailey Vath, 17, of Stacy, Minn., died after she was struck by a Mazda 3 driven by Dylan Robert Simmons, 20, of North Branch, around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, according to Capt. Greg Weiss of the Forest Lake Police Department. Amsterdam woman sentenced for identity theft and grand larceny FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Amsterdam woman was sentenced to the maximum of two terms of 2-4 years in state prison to run concurrently. Jacquinn Tanner, 38, was convicted of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and identity theft. Tanner was caught on surveillance footage finding and using someone's debit card left in a credit card payment machine at Kennedy's Fried Chicken at the Riverfront Center in Amsterdam. Tanner also took a picture of the card and shared the photo with another individual. The second individual was convicted in Fulton County of stealing $1,300 from the account.Tanner's criminal history includes convictions for grand larceny and welfare fraud, in addition to six prior misdemeanor convictions. The case was prosecuted by Katherine White and First Assistant Christina Pearson.

Target employee pepper-sprayed in Florissant robbery, two charged FLORISSANT, Mo. - Two women face felony charges after they allegedly used pepper spray on a Target employee in Florissant to steal several items. St. Louis County prosecutors have charged Kenecia Smith, 27, and Janielle Phillips, 33, with multiples felonies in the robbery. Both are also accused of speeding away from police with a child in their car after the theft. Clerk shot and killed at St. Louis City gas station According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Smith and Phillips took merchandise from a Target store and were trying to leave without paying for the items. Police say Smith's 6-year-old son was with them inside the store. When approached by a Target staff members, one of the two took out pepper-spray and used it on the employee.
